Tetapi semakin banyaknya pembangunan untuk pusat perbelanjaan, tempat rekreasi dan perumahan. Hal ini menyebabkan kebun-kebun buah semakin berkurang dan pohon-pohon yang biasanya bisa tumbuh liar tidak mempunyai tempat lagi untuk dibudidayakan.

1. Buah Delima / Pomegranate
Buah delima dengan bijinya yang berwarna merah ini di tahun 1980 sampai 1990 an banyak sekali ditemui dihalaman rumah penduduk di desa saya. Namun seiring berjalannya waktu tanaman ini menjadi semakin punah. Buah ini mempunyai rasa yang manis dengan bentuknya yang seperti buah apel dengan mahkota diujungnya yang menjadi ciri khas.

Buah delima ini pada jaman dahulu dijadikan sebagai tanaman buah dan juga tanaman hias. Jika kulitnya merah maka buahnya juga berwarna merah, jika kulitnya kuning warna buahnya putih atau ungu. Buah delima ini terkadang mempunyai rasa asam manis dengan jumlah biji yang cukup banyak, sehingga sebagian orang malas untuk mengkonsumsinya. Saat ini buah delima sangat sulit ditemui di pasar tradisional maupun di perkotaan.

Buah kesemek ini jika sudah matang bentuknya akan berwarna merah seperti tomat. Dimulai dengan warna kulit yang hijau muda dengan rasa yang renyah dan agak sepat. Lama-kelamaan buah ini akan menjadi lembek seperti tomat dengan rasa yang lebih manis.

Agar cepat matang buah kesemek dimasukkan ke dalam rendaman air kapur sehingga setelah kering buah ini akan menjadi seperti memakai bedak. Namun saat ini buah kesemek sudah semakin sulit untuk ditemui, mungkin karena banyak diekspor keluar negeri atau karena kurangnya budidaya. Buah kesemek ini sebagian besar dibudidayakan di Pulau jawa yang kemudian diekspor ke Singapura, Thailand dan Arab Saudi.

Buah srikaya ini berbentuk bundar mirip kerucut cemara dengan kulit yang benjol dan bersisik dengan daging buah berwarna putih dengan banyak biji serta banyak mengandung air. Buah srikaya ini bisa tumbuh secara liar dengan rasanya yang manis dan dingin.Sekilas buah srikaya ini mirip dengan buah durian belanda atau sirsak.

Sama dengan buah srikaya, buah gernitu dulunya juga banyak ditemui di Kota Batu- Malang. Buah dengan bentuk bulat seperti apel dengan daging buah yang berwarna putih yang kaya akan air ini juga semakin jarang dijumpai. Buah ini biasanya disebut apel atau sawo durian. Saat saya masih kecil buah ini sering dijual diwarung-warung bersamaan dengan buah kepundung.
Tekstur buah gernitu yang manis dan dingin ini sedikit bergetah sehingga mampu melancarkan haid dan memberikan efek rasa kenyang.

Bentuknya seperti buah anggur blueberry. Buah ini dahulunya sangat berlimpah terutama di pasar-pasar tradisional. Buah jambang ini pada tahun sembilan puluhan dijual diwarung-warung sudah dibungkus plastik dengan harga murah.

Namun saat ini buah juwet sudah sulit ditemui meskipun kita mencarinya di mall-mall super lengkap.Rasa dan sensasi yang ada di buah juwet ini sulit untuk diungkapkan karena rasanya campu-campur. semoga saja suatu hari nanti keberadaan buah juwet bisa dikembangakan kembali.

Sama seperti buah juwet jaman dahulu buah ini juga sangat mudah ditemui. Jambu bol ini mudah ditemui di daerah sumatera karena berasal dari selat malaka . Rasa jambu ini cukup unik dan nikmat, dengan tekstur yang lembut dan lebih padat dari jenis jambu lainnya.
Jambu bol banyak tumbuh didaerang yang kering, karena saat ini jambu bol termasuk buah yang cukup langka makanya jambu ini harganya sangat mahal.

Buah yang bentuknya mirip buah duku dan langsat ini mempunyai rasa yang manis dan masam. Buah rambai ini kulit dan daging buanhya lebih tipis dari buah duku, dengan warna buahnya yang lebih bening sehingga terlihat besar biji yang dikandung buah rambai ini.
Buah rambai ini tumbuh berubai-rumbai kebawah menempel pada dahan pohon sehingga diberi nama buah rumbai. Buah rambai ini sudah sulit dijumpai, mengkin karena rasanya yang masam dan harganya yang relatif murah sehingga membuat para petani malas untuk menanamnya.

Buah rukem ini dulunya banyak ditemui didaerah sumatera namun sekarang sudah jarang. Cara mengkonsumsi buah ini cukup unik yaitu dengan cara memijit-mijit daging buahnya terlebih dahulu untuk mengurangi rasa asam dan sepet. Buah rukem bentuknya bulat kecil berwarna merah kehitaman atau terkadang merah agak ungu. Buah ini dulunya sangat disukai oelh anak-anak.
